Our Mission
At Moonstone Holistic Arts, our mission is to provide natural and holistic solutions for our clients' and their animals' health and wellness needs. We believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and we strive to facilitate that process through our services.
Our Services
We offer Reiki and sound therapy sessions to support humans and animals' overall health and well being. Mobile sessions are available for Reiki and sound healing while long distance Reiki is available by phone or the web. Our practitioner is certified in Reiki and looks forward to sharing this special energy. Services can be hands on or off depending on preference and comfort of the client.
What is Reiki?
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Rei-ki means spiritual wisdom and life energy. This life energy was recognized hundreds of millions of years ago in South Africa and evolved as tribes traveled to different cultures and continents. In Asia, it was used to create protection, for healing, and to enhance various spiritual levels. History shows this life energy is also incorporated into martial arts. When a person has formal Reiki training, this energy can be transmitted to the client to clear pathways that enhance health and well being.
About Me
....how I discovered this energy and my evolution
This is me in Africa. It was my second trip and longest so far, spending time caring for orphaned elephants with Game Rangers International. When I stepped foot onto African soil for the first time in 2017, there was something I could feel....some kind of spirituality or energy. I've experienced this when on the Hawaiian islands but the intensity was far greater on African soil. I began to discover that there is beautiful energy in places and people. This place filled my soul. Little did I know that this was the start of my healing journey.
I have this sense of my intuitiveness and energy empath. I was aware but didn't realize the depth until I retired as a lobbyist and could devote this energy to my personal life. At one point, I reached out to a biofield tuning practitioner for a session. The sound energy waves were amazing but she couldn't tell me the results of this session or what she found. That set the stage for research, and later the purchase of my own professional tuning forks. I 'played' with these on my friends and family. But it was about to become very interesting.
The tuning fork session I provided to my healthcare professional turned out to be extraordinary. Her chakra clearing was 'explosive' with white light emanating from her sacral chakra. A short time after her session, she had this immense feeling of sadness and emotional draining. And then the most remarkable thing....over the next 24 hours, she received random calls and encounters with individual friends she had not seen for a long time, some with concerns for her and others expressing how much they missed her with a sense of gratitude as well as embrace. Individually her four sons acted in the same manner professing their gratefulness and love for their mother, and then for the next two weeks she was overcome with extraordinary calm and peace! Her husband even recognized how her energy felt much more calm and balanced. Really just more at peace.
And then came my Reiki experience
Clearly I was on this exploratory spiritual path. After this tuning experience, my friend suggested exploring Reiki too. The timing was such that, after our retirement, we could finally settle down from two years of nomad life, traveling the U.S. in our RV, and start a new life. I scheduled a Reiki session with a wonderful practitioner in Helena MT. It was such a peaceful and amazing experience. I decided to take my first class with her. This led to the second class which would allow me to become a practitioner. I had just turned my life from a 24/7 job talking with clients and politicians to providing harmony and healing through energy in a calm, embracing environment.
Why do I tell you all of this? Because life is an evolution, an opportunity to learn, help, explore and hopefully build people up. It's a way to be empathic with others and their experiences. We run in a fast paced society that ramps up our emotions, the demand for multitasking, and drives down the time we have for self care.
There's everything right about taking care of ourselves first and if the basis of life is energy, let's start there! Which is why I hope to share my energy experience with you.
